Leo was born in 1972 and discovered his passion for electronic music at the age of 15, creating his first loops using a Commodore Vic 20 and 64, spreading his sound throughout the city at a time when electronic music was impossible to find in Rome.
Shortly afterward, he became a true collector of analog synthesizers, dedicating himself seriously to the study of modular synthesis, which led him to develop unique skills, recognizable from his early works for the ACV label: Attack Random, Riders of the Future, Noise Generation, Muta, Cannibald, and Aeon are still milestones for electronic music enthusiasts today.
1989 marked the birth of The Sound of Rome, when Leo met Lory D in a small garage, sparking a universal, alternative music movement that spread techno throughout Rome and Italy, bringing these two masters behind the decks to play with artists such as Dave Clarke, Joey Beltram, Robert Armani, and UR, among others.
In 1995, Leo decided to end his collaboration with ACV Records and moved to Rephlex, Aphex Twin's record label, beginning to tour with the group Rephlex after the album Void.
Ten years later, Leo recorded his first single for a new project: Cannibald Records.
Back to Life's primary focus is reissuing house and techno classics, and the mission continues with the official reissue of Leo's 1991 Noise Generation, a truly special album that represents an unforgettable moment in the rave scene.
